Clarissa, the second wife of Henry Hailsham  -  Brown, is adept at spinning tales of adventure for their bored diplomatic circle.  When a murder takes place in her drawing room, she finds real life much more difficult to deal with, especially since she suspects young stepdaughter, Pippa , might be involved.  To make matters worse, the victim is the man who broke up Henry's first marriage.  Adding to the dilemma, husband Henry is on his way home with a VIP who might take a dim view of bodies in the drawing room.  Packed with great characters, Spider's Web is a must see, as the Queen of Crime spoofs herself in this Christie drama , so closely knit with thrills and comedy, that shocks and laughs are about fifty - fifty.  Audition info
